Red Bull Racing’s announcement marks another key date in the calendar as Formula 1 teams prepare for the new season, with their launch set just six days before the commencement of winter testing in Bahrain.
While specifics are not yet disclosed, there’s anticipation around whether Red Bull will unveil the actual RB20 car for the 2024 season or opt to display an updated livery on a show car, similar to their approach in the past two seasons.

The RB20 is expected to carry a significant legacy, following the dominant performance of its predecessor, the RB19. The RB19’s extraordinary run in the 2023 season included victories in 21 out of 22 Grand Prix, contributing to Max Verstappen securing his third world championship with ease.
Team principal Christian Horner shared his insights in response to a query from Motorsport.com about the potential for competitors to challenge Red Bull’s record-breaking dominance.
“We saw that in 2020 with Mercedes. If you remember, that was their most dominant year ever and yet, we were able to beat them in ’21.
“There is a subtle rule change but I think that nothing stands still. We’ve seen competitors coming closer at different venues and I’m sure concepts will converge.
“Stable regulations always concertina. I don’t think we’ll ever be able to repeat the season that we’ve had, but hopefully, we can take the lessons from RB19 and apply them to [RB]20 and come up with a car that we can defend these titles with.”
Sergio Pérez is confirmed to partner with Max Verstappen at Red Bull for the 2024 season. This year is crucial for Perez, as he aims to earn an extension with the Milton Keynes-based team.
