The Haas team has recently showcased their 2024 season car, the VF-24, whilst in action at Silverstone, marking their start to pre-season preparations.

In a reveal to fans, Haas posted a video on social media capturing the VF-24 as it emerged from the garage to undertake its inaugural laps at the iconic British Grand Prix circuit. The event signified the first public appearance of Haas’ 2024 contender, following the earlier release of digital images showcasing the car’s livery.

Nico Hulkenberg took the honour of being the first driver to pilot the VF-24.

A follow-up shakedown is planned in Bahrain a day before the official start of pre-season testing.

The 2024 regulations now allow F1 teams to conduct up to 400km of track testing, an increase from the previous 200km limit, during two days designated for ‘promotional activities’.

Sauber led the way as the first team to put their 2024 F1 car through its paces at Barcelona on the previous Saturday.

After a challenging 2023 season that saw them finish last in the constructors’ standings, Haas is aiming for a turnaround. Despite occasional qualifying highlights, the VF-23 struggled with race pace, often causing Hulkenberg and his teammate, Kevin Magnussen, to fall out of contention for points.

With the departure of long-time team principal Guenther Steiner, Haas has appointed Ayao Komatsu, formerly the team’s engineering director, as his successor.
